compressing roxul

I recently purchased 14 bundles of 1.5" roxul . I've bulit some frames out of 2x4's and was going to put 3 of them in a frame with the intent of compressing the 41/2" to the 31/2" frame of the 2x4 from what i've read this should increase the nrc, am i correct in assuming this?? By the way i've got 14 bundles with 20 16"x48" pieces through a place in cinci ohio for 21.75 a bundle. If you need a place in cinci to buy contact me.

How do you plan to compress rockwool and still have sound waves able to pass through it???

Think about this for a minute and you will understand what I mean.

Roxul is as compressed as it's gonna get when you bought it. Trying to compress it more will either blow out the back of your gobo or slot resonator or just push the fabric forward in a simple trap.
