Compatibility issues with Nvidia Nforce audio interface?

I am using Music Creator 2003 and the audio input/output works on a PC with a Crystal SoundFusion audio interface but not on one with an Nvidia Nforce interface. Has anyone had problems with the Nforce and Cakewalk? What should I do?

Do a search for Nforce on the Sonar forum and website. Failing that, I would contact support.

Well... I already found the holy grail.

Options > Audio > Advanced > Always use MME interface.

Apparently that's all you need to do to get CWMC 2003 working with the Nforce on WinXP.

Thats's a hack fix - not a solution.

You are giving up way too much in terms of performance by not using WDM drivers.

Have you tried updating the nforce motherboard drivers?

XP - http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_4.24
W2K - http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_win2k_4.24
9x - http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_win9x_4.20

If I understand correctly, these also add ASIO drivers as well, though the WDM should be working fine...
