I have patches for the TX-81z that will work for a FB-01 but when I try to transfer them, Soundiver doesnt allow it. It specifically says that 'this type of data is for a tx81x and con not be transfered to this type of device".
This is bullshit because there the same data. Is there something "written" in the midi exclusive data from the patches that Soundiver reads(is trying to send), then makes a comparrison to the machine your trying to send to and says"oops, this data says a tx81z, but hes sending to a fb-01, that wont work" even though the data is the same and there is no reason this shouldnt work? Is there any way to fix this problem? Any way to "re-write" something in the sys ex to say its a fb-01?
I'm not trying to get to technical but if you know anything about sys ex, please help.
