Wouldn't it be better to stay with one brand?
1) If you later decide to put them in 1 puter they would probably sync better and have less hassle (I think both the Deltas and EWS's are made to run together up to 4 cards - even the small ones - but I'm not sure).
I think so, but in my town, they only sell
Terratec EWX2496 for "pro" analog 2 in 2 out card. And they sell it cheap
I have one PC left (PIII866 - Win98SE) for internet & MIDI work only, and I'm thinking of spreading it's capability (The EWX2496 comes with Giga Sampler LE!)... Anyway, we got BluesMeister to ask here if I have any difficulties
If I get the EWS88MT, then I'll get only one card. But if I go with the 1010LT, then I can have two cards (with the EWS2496) for the price

2) The manufacturer has a better chance of and is more inclined to helping out if you have only cards from him,
As I mentioned before, we don't have any representative dealer for M-Audio card in my country... so, if I have a problem, then I'll still have to solve it alone (or by internet
) like any old days...

3) You can to a further extent use the knowledge you've gagined - including look and feel of control panels f.e.
Sure, in fact, it will be good for me to learn both cards

4) Only one manufacturer to keep up with, and probably less apps/discs to keep track of.
I get what you mean, but I think it won't be a problem since I will put them in separate PCs.

5)...Of course, most of these points could be reversed if you prefer to gain knowledge in sound technology instead of making music...
(not a joke)
Please tell me to shut up and mind my own business...
Shut up...
errr, the problem with me, I like to deal with both. In one side, I'm musician with simplicity in mind, but in other side, I think it will be good to learn something by experience. And may be I can master them both and inform you guys in future about these cards...
Anyway, I still have to talk with missus about purchasing two cards, since I plan to upgrade my SONAR to vers. 3
Financial issue these days... easy come, easy go...
Thanks for you all, mates
