Hey John, great jazz happening here, really good groove....
As far as the two mixes go...they are very different. I personally prefer the first version which is louder, cleaner, more dynamic.
The second track seems to be more compressed, and the drums are panned too far left.
High hats are panned to the right side on both, I found that not to be an issue...Nice playing as I said before......
