SORRY I HAD TO PULL IT OFF THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK GUYS

Hey beatmakers, could I "sit down with you" and get a tutorial on what your routine is for making a beat, and what equipment you use...? I'm really feeling your stuff man. That ish is tight! I'm really a hands on learner, but since I know NO ONE in this area that is doing anything/or will help me out, If I could just chat with you or SOMEBODY on what I need to do to get this thing right I'd appreciate it...

I mean, we make beats, using reason and fruity, etc, but most of it, you can tell its straight from fruity loops (we use a variety of samples as well). If someone could set me straight I'd appreciate it. I've been feeding all this knowledge into my head for months from these forums, and I've learned a ridiculous amount of stuff, but I feel I need a deeper lesson in order to make this work out the way I vision it.

It doesn’t just have to be BEATMAKERS, but anyone. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it correct, haha. I hope I'm not sounding too vague or desperate. But I guess I need someone to hold my hand through the whole beat making process....It's been done before, but I don’t think there is a step by step tutorial on making beats from A-Z.

What i'm gone tell you is what a guy told me and since i took his advice my tracks have begun to sound better.

You gotta live and die for it. get hungry. do it like you have to to survive...literally. start making a beat and dont eat or anything untill its the best you can make it ...if you dont get it done then go to bed hungry..dont watch tv dont do nothing that requires the use of something you would have to pay for. I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT IT WORKS. The only thing you can do is research of music and mixing. Want some mcdonalds ..get yo ass on that beat and make it happen or starve. Then once you have completed it and it sounds the best you can make it go eat watch tv take a hott shower or whatever. Then go DELETE IT. aint no resting on yo morals you gotta get started on yo next meal/beat. i did that one week and learned so much from myself and other cats it was a wild week. hit me on aim if you like beatmakersss

That's good, sound advice. Right now, that's exactly what we do when are recording songs, we won't eat or anything until the song is as good as we feel we can get it. It's been a lot of Sundays that I've been starving when the session was over because we've been in the studio from like 2 pm - 2 am or something crazy like that working on one song. It's necessary to sacrifice something to make you get the sound right. We're HUNGRY now, we'll do whatever it takes, and I’m not just typing that on some BS fakeness. That's our weak point, the beats...We've got a pretty good flow, and recently upgraded so our actual recording sounds good. I just don't want to have to rely solely on 3rd parties for our beats.

I look at it like this; with rap, the beat is 75%-85% of the actual song in most cases. There's not any other genre, sans techno where you can say that. The lyrics in most cases are about 25%-15% of what people are actually hearing, and responding to. So it's obvious that while although we take lyrics mad seriously, the beats are the most important aspect. Bottom line is , creating your own beats puts you in the drivers seat, and I wanna be in full control of my independent label.

So yes, I will aim you, or whatever, just letting you know that I’m dead serious. I REALLY wanna learn this, so you know I'm not just typing some BS. Damn sure, more than willing to sacrifice to get it right... I do that now when making loops with fruity loops, but I feel I’m so limited with that program, that I’ve reached a threshold, something isn’t right, we need other equipment, and some guidance.

your aim is "beatmakerss"?
