Like the OP says: "Enjoy."

You sound a bit like Jack Bruce sometimes. I like how well the bvs work - they're not very up in the mix, but sound good. I wish I knew how to do that.

Hmm let's see if I can give you a place to start:
- Rode NTK (no eq)
- Sonar 6 PE
- Lexicon U42S
- Compress using Antress Modern Angel compressor 40 Gain/72 Peak on each backup track (free)
- Panned them 50% L/R at -8.5 db
- Post fader effect send to Lexicon Pantheon Concert Hall 20% Wet
- Effect send to Master at about -10db
- panning the channel effect sends = the mixer pan
- magic provided by Jan @ finemastering.de :D

All the guitars and backup vocals on this tune are done through the U42S so hopefully it shows you what it can sort of do.
I find it extremely clean and I miss the bass from my cheesy mixer but it mixes better IMHO.
The unit had a problem with volume pots which has been fixed since late 2009 so if you buy check the build date on the outside of the box. Other than that it works well - I bought the older bad model but it works fine for the input volume I need (it distorts at full volume and I go to about 75%). It does not play well with the internet (using Sonar 6 ) on my Dell D630 and the static is unbearable - luckily I have a switch to disable the internet when recording and playing back. The Dell doesn't have much CPU or RAM so it's fighting for resources - internet is hungry that way. I doubt I'll need anything else for a long time unless some new fangled technology come out that I need.

I hear nothing that is in need of any changes-it's all extremely well composed and performed. The rhythm section is top notch, the vocal and backing vox sound very good-the guitar rhythms and solos are just amazing-I wish I could play them like that someday!!
Mainly though, everything is played very tastefully-thats what stands out the most to me.........
 
Pretty good, but there are a few things I would change. The drums should come up, and it would be nice to hear more snare. The guitars seem really out front. Also, I think I hear some clipping in the vox? Or is that just your sound? It's hard to tell. Other than that I think it sounds pretty good.

Thanks Lt Bob. My daughter told me to add more vocals to my song to make them "better". Voila - backups!

Hey sqibble good ideas - and yep it was mixed by a guitar player lol....
