Clam Soup
Project 49
Holy crap - I think I've got all of this uploading/downloading crap figured out.
This is my first attempt at recording myself alone. And it has been a nightmare just to get to this point - but, I think it all improves from here on out.
The song is a dedication to the memories of my grandpa who was one of the last real mountain men. It is a bit "hick" but a good lead guitarist can fix that..... now... to find one of those.
"You should edit your first post with the correct link." <---- thanks chilli. I'd have never thought of that. Fixed.
LYRICS
My grandpa was a mountain man
I remember he used to tell
How he lived his life off the land
And how it treated him so well
He fell in love with nature's song
Grandpa never thought to much of church
But he sure did believe in God
He explained that I'd never have to search
To see that nature really wasn't that odd
He said, "listen to creation's song"
Where the waterfalls pour in roaring cascades
To fill the valleys below
And the rivers sing out their own accolades
Moving in turbulent flow
Where the mountains are shaped in their form
By a force that no man can tame
And the earth has no choice except to conform
To the voice from where it first came
My grandpa was a mountain man
I remember he used to tell
How he lived his life off the land
And how it treated him so well
He'll live forever in my heart
I can see him just as plain as day
When nature sings he becomes a part
Oh I hear the chorus say
Come home to where you belong
Come home to where you belong
Come home to where you belong
