I own The Boss 1180cd and have a couple question concerning bouncing tracks. This is what I would like to do: At the moment i have all 8 tracks filled up, and am now trying to create more space by combining 2 tracks together. How do I do this without messing everything up? When I switch to
"bounce mode" and bounce two tracks together, then switch back to "input mode" everything but the bounced together tracks are gone and can only be seen in "bounce mode". Is there an easy way I can make two tracks into one, while still keeping everyhting else the same in the "imput mode"?

Any suggestion on how to make more space would be greatly appreciated

THANKS pATRICK

I have a BR-8 but I think that you need to use the V-tracks.

YES use the virtual tracks. When you bounce a number of tracks onto the 9/10 track the br1180 automatically moves dwon a set of tracks (virtuall tracks) so if you want to see your original tracks you push the virtual track button and select them with the jog wheel and cursor. The v track menu can be quite tricky at first to grasp, but it is easy once you understand it. Once you have bounced the tracks to 9/10 you can copy them to any virtual tracks. So you could copy them to tracks 1 and 2 of the 2nd layer of v tracks. (you get 8 layers of tracks with 8 tracks in each layer) Understand?
Let me know if you are still confused.
