wussup HR's,

I'm usually threading around the CoolEdit Forum, but I hoped maybe someone could help me over here. Here goes:
When I'm using my Dell 1100 laptop during performances, (DJ-ing using turntables & Traktor Final Scratch)...after about an hour I notice that the waveforms "Lag" and a bit of digital distortion (like bad MP3) comes through the speakers. To combat this situation, I (much to my embarressment) pick up my laptop and proceed to blow at the small fan on the underside of the unit. Surprisingly, this almost always rectifies the situation.

My question, besides ventilating, and turning off the screen saver etc.,

is there any other quick fixes I can do to prevent the comp. from "overheating"? Any aftermarket fans?

thanks

???

This is one I've never heard before...

Whatever is going on, it's about as far from latency as we are from the Magellanic Clouds....

thanks for the link...ima try to strap an intercooled turbocharger to the bitch ;)

No problem, but like AlChuck said, sort of, it's not affecting latency, it will cool the computer though. At least I think he meant it's not affecting latency. It sounds like we're pretty far from Magellanic Clouds, of course they could be on under me right now? For more on latency click here.
