Colouring song regions

I've watched a couple of videos but not found the answer to what I assume is a very simple question...I dont want to colour individual tracks in any way but I would like a colour coded bar at the top and bottom of the track list that shows me where verse, chorus etc sections are to enable easy editing. Any pointers?

This looks like it would do what you want.

You would need to load the Reaper SWS extensions though.

Cheers...what I needed was even simpler!...was just a case of creating regions, naming them and colouring them...

It can be simpler

1 Select the area you want to make a region.
2 Right click and select "Create region from selection". This creates the region
3 Right click on the region, then select 'Edit region'
4 A dialog box will pop up where you can give the region a name and select a colour.

Yep, I meant that's the way I'd figured it out! ...probably explained the need with some amount of fogginess ?
