Cranky One - Cool of you to offer that info!

spacedye - thanks for checkin' it out! Long Island in the house! :D

thanks again to everyone who bothered to check it out..

I have gone through and commented on everyones tunes who commented on this.... thanks again!

This is very nice. Congratulations Sabbath & Bob.

I also thought of Morphine immediately -- but Last Exit even more. I kept hoping for the sax to go ultrasonic like Peter Brotzmann.

It's so cool that you guys collaborated internetically. Very inspiring.

Thanks Goon, I appreciate the listen. We're hoping this will lead to more and more such collaborations and eventually a collaboration forum. Crawdad asked me to do some sax on one of his tunes and in the process of figuring out how to do it; he had an idea that will solve some of the problems Sabbath and I had so it will be more like going in the studio together. And I know that as we get more people involved, they'll have answers to any type of problem we'll run into so I'm excited about the future. Thanks again for checking it out. :)

Wow this is cool!
Sounds really great.
Lt. Bob ROCKS!(as you do yourself,my friend.)

You did a really good job of matching his melody, how about adding some vocals and really blowing it out!

If you don't mind my saying,I think the sax needs a really deep reverb on it,might mix better with the sound of the guitars.
Just my 2 cent's.

Hope to hear more of you guys collaborating.

Best to you,
Pete

I Was Blown Away!

This was so damn great! You guys did a terrific job of collaborating on this track.

I have never heard metal fused with a saxaphone before ... I think you guys are onto something here, Miles Davis would be proud ... it's Metal Fusion!

I don't have any negatives about this track (and I could only hear it in lo-fi, so I'm sure that it really kicks ass in "true stereo")

I look forword to checking it out again if you put the final touches on it. Maybe you can add a flute, nah, already been done (Jethro Tull) --- how about a clarinet? lol

Great track!!!

muzeman - thanks! I can always count on you for a comment. I hear what your saying about the reverb on the sax, I had no idea what something like this was supposed to sound like. I will hopefully get better at this.......hopefully. I thought about adding vocals but I didnt want to step on Lt. Bob's sax too much.. I think on the next one I'll have a bit more fun with it...Lt. Bob rocks! thanks, and best to you also Pete..

boydrj - thanks dude!:D I'm thinking that after all this great feedback, it does still need something else to finish it off. Metal fusion??? Is there such a thing? :D thanks for checkin it out man.

so how come you get to use reverb and I don't:( ? What's the deal here???:D If the 80's didn't happen, could we ALL then use reverb???

Well I think everyone's right;..it does need some finishing touches. I think Sabbath could put some perfect vocals on it. After listening to his other stuff, he has the right voice and his lyric concepts are right also so go on man. Don't worry about the sax, I'd love to hear this song prgress.
On another note, I'm so glad everyone's interested in this collaboration thing and I think it's time to carry it to the next level. I'm gonna start a new thread next week and I'm gonna be looking for volunteers to help me learn more about this. What I'd like to do is write a song and send out the basic tracks to several musicians and then get back their contributions and assemble it all together. I'm thinking Sabbath to play the drums and I'm gonna need a couple of guitar players and maybe a keyboard player and even singers. I've just about got it straight in my mind how to do it and if we could pull it off, it would be a new world for all of us;..not just listening to each other's songs but being able to participate in it when asked to. What I've got in mind would work between any types of platforms and wouldn't be difficult to do. So watch for a new thread, I think I'll put it in the Mp3 clinic unless someone thinks it should go somewhere else. I've still got a few things to clear up before I'm totally ready but I will be ready in about a week. In the meantime, anyone who is interested in joining in can reply in this thread. It's gonna be fun!!!! :D

That's a great idea! If you need guitar players, I'd like to do some playing. Of course, I can only play rhythm decently. I can't do that good solos, unless they're slow.

That'd be cool crankyone, I'll put you down for some rhythm work. I think it's gonna be a straight ahead rock tune. I'm not going to make it too bizarre because the purpose is to work out the kinks of this collaboration thing. I'll let you know when it's ready to work on. I'll probably have to get the drums on first and then send a drum and bass track to you.

Anyone else? I'd like two guys to do solo work on it. It's not that I don't play enough guitar, it's just that I want to use different people from different places for every part. If I can successfully do that...then any collaboration at all will be possible in the future.

this has turned into one mammoth thread..... totally deserving. Nice job again guys mike:D

Black sabbath and his trusty sidekick Lt.bob boldly going where no man has gone before.
You're way too prolific,do you have a job?
Like wow man that was the cats pajamas.
