Collab with Dogman

haha I remember this.. interesting hearing what the dog put to this.. cool stuff.. some parts I liked better than others.. I'm not crazy about how the vox are mixed because they're a bit low at times.. also, when it goes into the heavy part @40, it should get heavier but the drums and overall dynamics keep trucking along the same instead of exploding.. ride the crash sometimes or open that high hat wider.. imop.. cool guitar sounds though.. lower cymbals and hats and louder guitars and vocals.. it sounds like the overall fidelity suffered a bit due to the collab because I remember it sounding a little better fidelity wise.. did you collab with mp3's or something? did you add extra compression or something.. also there were a few low notes that sounded a little big on the bottom.. dogman is a heavy dude.. the more I hear of him the more I think he's into some seriously heavy stuff! and that's alright! :D cool collab guys!

I liked this collab, I listened on my pc speakers and think Dogmans vocals could be upfront a tad more. Dogmans vocals fit the whole style and feel of this tune!

Overall I think it was very dark and brooding and has a sinister overtone to it!

Thanx dudes for sharing ! :)

Oh I`m feeling it, a dark chill running down my back.
great vox dog, really this is probbaly one of the best vox I`ve heard you done, next to your exelent version of Come together.

Great work, and nice work on the tune Bull....
You guys should name your self Bull-Dog :D

I can't listen...everytime I try, my puter bogs down to a halt!

I will try later or tomarrow. I wanna hear!!! :D

Great collab....Bull-Dog
- great heavy guitar playing and tones Bulls Hit.
- classic Dogman vocals; cool stereo spread/panning.
Enjoyed this a lot!

Man, I tried two more times to open the file, and it shuts me down every time. I am starting to get annoyed. I will try again tomarrow, cause I really want to hear your tune guys! I have listened to several others tonight, so I don't know shy my puter is being such a pain on this one!

B.SABBATH - Yeah you're absolutely right, I was saying the same to Ed last night, the vox are too low. Heh you're real keen on those dynamics aren't you, Ima have to pay more attention to that.
You're right about the fidelity too. I just got a UAD-1 card and I don't know how to drive it yet - might have used too many presets. I'm going to redo it, address the vox issues etc. Thanks a lot again Sam, much appreciated.

Gorty- You're right on the money there Gorty about the vox. The fresh ears are valuable. Thanks for the comments man.

Nakatira - Haha Bull-Dog. I like it. Either that or Hit-Man heh. Yep, Ed did a great job on this. Mix just needs a bit of a tweak. Thanks for the listen Naka.

true-eurt - Hmmm, not sure what's going on there. Give me a day & I'll put up a remix

ido1957 - Hey, glad you liked it man. Thanks for the listen & the kind words

Dog set me up with a link and I got right in, have no idea what it was other than them.

I really liked this. The guitars were right on and the vocals were...well they were Dogerifficly scarey!!

As for the mixing aspect, you all know I don't know much, but I agree with the vocals coming up, bring the guitars up, but I liked the hats and cymbals the way they set in the mix. I think when you bring up the vocals and the guitars, the hats and cymbals should be just right.

Great tune......TRUE :)

This is really good
One of the best tunes i heard here today
I like the voice work a lot, and i think it fits so well on the track feeling, feels like someone is telling a story
and most of all i really enjoyed the scary atmosphere. Very good job

true-eurt Yeah a couple of people mentioned the guitars could come up with the vox. I've done a remix and the vox now sit better, I'll look at the guitars next. Thanks very much for your thoughts on this true

Gorty Heh yeah lol & if I can talk Ed into it, there'll be more from bulldog & hitman

SoundofMind Yeah I had no idea for vox or what they could sound like and Ed just made them fit right in. Thanks a lot man

Awesome guys, rocks! Dogman, your vocals are excellent for this song... they sound dark and evil, very cool... I think you've been possessed fulltime by the weedwacker and/or brutal lawnmower.
I do agree that vocals could come in the mix in places.
Cool break section and sounds at 3:03
Good stuff, you guys could write some seriously freaky stuff :D

Thanks for the comments on my part, guys. (and gals... ;) )
Working with Bulls is pretty cool. He has a few more tunes I am playing with. He did another mix, that sounds better, but I think he wanted to work on some other stuuf for it. I am going to try a mix also.
Anyways, thanks again.
Ed
:D

Dude,your on a roll!This is excellent...love those guitars...this is a perfect vehicle for your vocals/style....keep growling!

You guys should do this more often  Has a cool gothic vibe in the guitar and the vox is appropriately spooky. Its excellent Halloween music, plus its well done.

Definitely a keeper. I have listened to tihs several times. I wouldnt mind a thicker drum sound in the snare, a more "metal" sound. Other than that, its groovy kids.

variaxman- Thanks for checking it out variaxman. Cool comments

DavidK - Yeah I was thinking exactly the same thing about that snare. For some reason its lost its snap. I'm gonna digout drumagog, seeif I can make it better. Thanks DavidK
