This started out as a kind of experiment in layering drums. Then a lady called thegirl from the other place put up some lyrics and kindly allowed me to mutilate them. I'm pretty certain the result was not what she expected.

Anyway after adding the vocals, suddenly the layered drums didn't work so well, so I had to do a complete remix. I think it's about as good as I can get it. Any thoughts on this one?

This sounds great.
BIG drum sound.
The vox are good too.
In fact, all around, big, good.
Did the bloke singing write the lyric & melody?
Kind of a non malignant NIN, the accent makes it sound more cheerful!

I'm not particularly a fan of this style of music, but this sounds like its done very well. Drums sound just right for the genre and the overall mix sounds pretty good. Kind of like Beck meets Nine-Inch-Nails. :)

I like this one....the song structure is cool. In this mix, the drums seem to have alot of midrange, which is causing some issues with your voice and the guitar. Drums seem to lack the bottom end of your normal mixes. I like to hear some more of the boom on your kick.

It's nothing real bad, just gives it a more midrange vibe, and leaves alot of space for some lows. If you remix, give the kick some lows, and unclutter the middle a little bit. Otherwise, I think it's got a cool vibe.

Cool - real psychadelic feel to it - like the seventies moog stuff. The mix sounds pretty good. The only thing maybe is the drums might have a bit more room than the rest of the mix. I'm stretching here though... it really sounds pretty good....

rayc - The bloke (me) did the melody, but the lyrics were done by thegirl ( I don't even know her name). Hey thanks for the nice comments Ray

Greg_L - It's wierd I get the Beck thing quite a lot, and I've never heard a NIN song, although I do have a few Manson albums. I'm still not 100% sure of the mix though, still needs...something. Thanks for the listen

Dogman - Yeah I lost the original drum tracks. These are mixed-down clips that I dug out from when I did the tune originally about a year ago, and I tried to bring up the snare with a multiband, which probably accounts for some of the midrangeyness you're hearing. I tried to increase the presence of the guitar but you're right it's clashing with something. I thought it was the vocal, maybe it is the drums. Thanks for the suggestions Ed, given me a couple of ideas there

ido1957 - Yah there is definitely more room on the drums. That's another comment I get alot. My next task is to hang a duvet in the studio to see if I can control some of the reflections a bit better. Thanks ido, I appreciate it

Hey Bulls!! The first few measures of beat says....The Bull is here!! You have an awesome drum signature.

I like the funky moog sound you've added.... The 'record scratch' is good!!!

Guitar sounds good...and although I like the addition of the moog.. it soughta upstages the guitar and I must admit I prefer a screaming guitar over a funky moog...

I love the BIG DRUM sound !! The hats are just right.

You've done a good job with the vocals too. I don't know what the original lyrics were, but the ones you have used and how you have used them sound excellent.

Kudos to the Bull with the Hits !! :D

True :)

Some great hardcore funk sounds here, my favorite is the drum sound. If I were you I'd keep it, just rocks! Cool tune too, I like the groove and sound effects throughout, keeps things interesting and moving. Sweet track

This is just absolutely sick...I thought Good Times that you posted a month or so ago was great, and this is too.

Drums sound sweet...love the melody of the chorus...just a great all-around arrangement.

true-eurt - True! Long time, too long. Heh you always give such in-depth reviews. I didn't change the lyrics on this, maybe just the expectation. Thanks for the kind words true. How's your project coming along?

SnakeDog5050 - I know the mix could still do with a tickle up, but hey Snake, I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know

Timothy Lawler - Cool man, thanks. Appreciate it.

heatmiser - Hey you remember that other one. Cool :D Thanks for the props on this one too, glad you liked it

Hey Bulls !! Yah...it has been too long!! You are welkom. Listening to your stuff is always a good thing. I love that signature beat you have.

You obviously did no harm to the lyrics then or the execution of them. I like your talk/singing too...

The project....

Oh !!

That project!!!!.... :D It is still there....there...there.....there..... :p
