Wha exactly does the "TRITON" 88-Key Studio Keyboard, and Akai MPC4000LE actually do. Would these be good products to but if i wanted some preproduction equipment for my studio.

The Korg Triton is a synthesizer. Push the piano keys, the machine makes sounds based on the settings. Its also a multi-voice synthesizer, meaning it can play multiple sounds at the same time. Like Bass, Sax, drums, etc.

The Akai MPC is actually a combination of sampling and sequencing, so it can simulation many instruments via recording them (sampling), then using the sequencer, you can play them back with whatever timing and pitch you want.

You'd probably have better luck asking this question in the "Keyboard & Sound Module" forum.

Lots of folks there will help you out.
