How do you go bout checking clocking or changing settings?
My playback is always getting some type of interruptions with pops.

You don't mention your sound card. The options for those settings would be in the software interface for the card.

Oh im sorry. I have a firebox by presonus. Playback is giving me hell. I also had the saffire and it did the same thing.
Im not to sure how to solve it. I have been playing with the playback buffers and latency. Im just new at this. I need a good comfortable setting.
People have mentioned the clocking and i have no clue what to do with that.
