Just recently purchased a Pod XT to use with my guitar for recording tracks. Got it working after a day, however, it tends to skip every so often during recordings. I have used multiple programs such as Audition, Goldwave, and the default windows sound recorder, and all produce the same problem. I have noticed the skipping can be random, and for some time I thought it only made the noise when the guitar sustain was dying out, or right when I hit a note. I've tried downloading ASIO4ALL beta drivers and that didn't help at all. I would post a link to a clip with an example of what I'm talking about, but I can't yet.. Any ideas, though?

Thanks in advance.

Do some searching here and Google about "optimizing PC for Audio Recording". It sounds like you many have too many hidden background resources being used up. For instance, just to use usb, you kernel processor has to poll all your available usb ports something like 40 times per second.
