clipping/ distortion?

upon playback on my sony vaio i can hear a lot of nasty distortion/clipping.

nowhere in my recording/mixing/mastering process is anything clipping.

however it sounds fine on my recording setup. please bear in mind the track is nowhere near finished

could it just be my inferior laptop speakers? (other music it is not so bad)

No clipping here. When the 'key's' join in (1:00ish, and later) they seem to make it congested -but then I'm thinking it might be 'cause my ears might be pretty trashed right about now so.. second opinions..

..even if it was your speakers, what about when you turn it down?

No clipping. The sonic space when the keys join (1:00) in seems to be very crowded or making some harmonic? I listened on good headphones and there is something there but I dont think it is clipping- not sure.

Cool song. I like the feel, and your(?) voice quality is perfect in this style.

I heard no distortion or clipping. Is that a thumb piano that starts @ about 58 second? Might be ever so slightly too much of that texture - those little tines that make the pitches are quirky sounding - they supposed to be - but too much of a good/quirky good thing, maybe?
