not strictly a recording question but i'm engineering for a ska band and need to buy a couple of clip-on mics for their saxes. one for tenor and one for alto - so one needs to have a good low end response!

about £100 ($150) each tops ideally.

Why must they be clip-on mics... why can't you use something like MD421's or U87's (which, by-the-way sound great on sax)?

sorry i didn't say - it's for a regular live slot. they're pretty energetic so clip-ons allow them to move a lot more. the guys at the shops near me don't seem to know ANTYTHING so i'm loathe to buy any of their gear.

Got any positioning tips for clip-on mics for sex???:D

Noisedude... thanks, I was just wondering why they had to be clip-on mics. Anyway, someone else will have to recommed clip-on's for you because I don't use them.
