clicks and pops when playing music files and Cubase

Just recently when I attempt to play any music file using windows media player I have noticed that it cannot play the file without stopping for a split second and haveing that poping noise. Same with Cubase Sx, however it is a lot worse with Cubase then the media player.

What could be the cause of this??

What interface? Sounds like a driver problem.

Yeah, if its doing the same with Cubase AND Windows media player sounds like a problem with your audio card. Make sure you have the newest driver, if you do, try uninstalling and re installing it.
