Bring Back Transfat!
My timing is terrible and I'd really like to assign a click track with Ntrack's metronome.
I can only get the thing to come through the PC speaker,
On any other setting, it can't be heard.

Any suggestions?

Is MIDI is selected under your Windoze volume control?

I prefer to make a click track using a drum sequencer, export it as a wave file, and then import it into n-track.

This is really the easiest way to do it. I recorded myself making a tongue click and looped that in acid. That's what I use for a click track.

i do a Fruity Loops "click track" with kick, snare and hi-hat.....

How long do you guys make your click track in fruity? Do you taylor it for the song or just make it super long? I too wish I could just get the n-track click track to work. Usually I only have an hour or two at a time to record, and creating a fruity click track sometimes is a hassle. I like to start with the guitar so it would be much easier to lay this down with the proper timing and then put some fruity stuff over it later.

I've been thinking about making some standard click tracks in fruity at like 140 bpm, 180 bpm, etc and then they are already there to import whenever I want to record.

I make them when I'm composing the song. Then if they need adjustment, I just make the changes and re-import into n-Track. It's a reasonably painless process.
