Click Track

I am considering buying a 788. I have not found any info if the 788 has an internal click track. Help please.

Thanks for the reply. I am very new to this. I looked at the manual link that you sent. It says there is a metronome built in. Sounds a bit compliceted to use. What do you use if you don't use the internal metronome? I have not ever used midi. I have read about a midi time map. I know these questions are very basic to you but like I said I am very new at the recording thing.

I'm SO SORRY for not reading carefully enough, before posting!

I read that 788 manual dang index, and several sections, and I did not find either "click" track or "metronome".

The metronome is the click track. you can also set up a drum machine to be your metronome and record it onto a track, but that takes up a track.

It can take up a track, which is usually the way I do it...losing the track hasn't been a problem for me. I believe you could also just feed the drum machine into an input if you've got an extra one available - but this would require the use of MIDI to sync everything up later.

The advantage of using a drum machine is that it is much easier to adjust the click volume using a recorded track than it is using the internal metronome. Plus I prefer being able to alter the sound used for the click and/or the rhythm.

So it sounded to me like you were confused and didn't realize that the metronome was a click. I was just trying to point that out and also tell you what I do instead of using the internal one.

Try some decaf, with enough cream and sugar it tastes almost the same.
