I'm new to home recording with a computer and cannot get my metronome to be audible. It is just barely discernible.
I'm using Cakewalk 2002, a SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum with front panel access.
I'm just trying to record some acoustic guitar/vocals. Basic demo stuff, nothing fancy yet.
Everything gels except the click track. I have tried every configuration I can think of and still no luck. My friend who has pretty much the same set up, but uses just a SoundBlaster Live, has no problem with his click track.
We have banged our heads against this for some time and can't figure why his click works and mine doesn't.
I think it has something to do with the Audigy.
We can hear just the faintest of metronomes, it's really weird and a bit frustrating.
Thanks in advance for all help.

If you can hear the metronome, but the volume is low, then turn the MIDI-volume up on the Creative Surround Mixer. I've used Sonar with an Audigy and I heard the metronome without any problems...

(Just thought of: In AudioHQ -> Soundfonts, is there any soundfonts loaded?)

Also make sure you have the metronome set for MIDI playback, and not PC speaker playback.

(Pretty obvious, but I always start with the obvious, so no offense intended.)

thanks

Thanks to moskus and dachay2tnr
I downloaded the soundfont 2.3 for the audigy and installed it.
Now I have click track. :)
I take no offense to any and all help.
I am new at this and I will probably stumble a few times so I am sure you will hear from me again.
Thank you again. Gotta kick out the jams.
