Well, I was hoping that I might get some feedback.

I used to like coming here and improving my material, even stop and help someone else.

I guess... whatever...

Patience, man patience. I think most of us here have jobs & families too. I thought Girlfriend Reba was a trip. I think your backup singer might have had too many tacos that day though. Hope he's feeling better. Might be me, but stuff seems to lose sync a little around the beginning of the guitar solo. I'd have commented on some of the other songs too, but I thought I'd better post quick before you took your toys home.

I don't know what the hell's going on here, since there's no link, and there's merely a "nevermind," but I can't STAND it when people leave. So, even though I haven't heard whatever it is you might have posted at some point, here are some comments for you.

1. The vocals are too quiet, and they have too much reverb on them, and too much compression.

2. The snare sounds like a paint-stick hitting a paper bag;

3. The kick sounds great.

4. There are pitch problems between the lead and background parts throughout, but overall, the bg vox are strong.

5. Fire the guitar player yesterday.

I think I just need to keep my eyes on the prize...

Thanks for taking the time/concern. I'll be back eventually, I think I need to focus more on the art involved. What frustrates me most is I hear the shortcomings and ask myself why they were not avoided first... during recording. It comes down to trying to do too much with too little. I have no spare cash for more gear and what I have is hardly adequate to compete in the mainstream. I'm relegated to doing stoopid stuff because I lack the faculties/hardware to do anything more than that. If I tried doing really serious things I'd be laughed at, but if I "keep it light" I can have others laugh with me...

I think I need a break... I dunno, musician's block I guess... self-pity plays a bit of a role here as well
