I've noticed that editing audio (in CWPA9) over time, tends to cause dropouts. I have the feeling that deleted clips aren't actually deleted; or that system memory is holding on to data, because if I save & shut down the app & restart, I run just fine for awhile. Is this a system; or a Cakewalk problem; & is there a way to asure that the cache is cleared as I work? Thanks.

i'm not sure how it works once you've exited the application, but while you are editing wave files in the application, anything that is 'undo'-able has not been destroyed.

if you make a cut, paste, or copy of a track, the original is still around somewhere, and if you go to History you'll be able to get it all back.

I don't need to get it back. I just need to be able to continue working without dropouts. I'm going to try setting Disk Cache (vcache) to defined vaulues & see if that helps. Thanks.
