So, this is a Christmas song my friends wrote and recorded but also is an homage to a famous rock band. Can anyone guess the band?

I would really like to hear some thoughts/suggestions on the mix as well as open ears to minor performance flubs that I may have missed in editing.

Nice job, I dig it. I'd say the performance itself was pretty solid. It's great to hear a drummer that plays a straight-ahead rock beat without over-complicating it. My only complaints would be a bit of amp hum that's noticeable in the intro, and the lead vocals, which are good but are a little too loud in the mix.

The band to which this is a tribute...would they happen to be Australian? :)

Australian, indeed! Here's the artwork for the album (we hand them out as xmas cards).

The vocal dominates the other tracks. I'd turn it down a bit.

The bass is a little mushy. Not a lot of distinction between the notes outside of the chord changes.

The guitar gets lost behind the drums in the verses. Bagpipes get lost to a certain extent in the chorus.

Lead guitar is really dry in comparison to the other tracks.

Maybe do a quick fade at the very end so the amp hum doesn't drop off so fast.

Oh and I caught the homage to the prior referenced Australian band.
