Hi Folks,

My name is José and im from Portugal!

I have a Samson Usb micro but im really dissapointed with her. So now im trying to mount a new aproach.

I have read some info in the forum.
So i thought a good solution is a preamp and a real analog phantom powered condenser micro for vocals.

For the setup i chosse the BEHRINGER XENYX X1222USB that have phantom power and mic-pre amps too and a lots of interesting things like Gain, compressor, USB and FX. I have a Shure sm58, guitar and a midi piano and i can connect them too. Cost aprox. 180 eur in portugal this mixer :)

So my questions are:
1- The preamp on the mixer is adequate to connect a phantom power condenser?
2- What is for you guys the best quality/price mic for a vocal male rode NT1-A or MXL V-67i ? (i know is a hard question)

Regards from Portugal,
José
P.S- sorry for my english :)

Question 1 --Yes

Question 2 --I like the NT1-a but you should really look at the MXL V67g not i. For it's a great microphone for the money.
