I'm getting to HATE getting a small part of a possible song idea, when it comes lyrics first, LMAO. I like complicated, intricate, melody systems that I cant possibly make for existing lyrics; the music might make some lyrics come, or not...
Maybe I am going about all this half-wrong. Maybe... maybe... if the music comes first, then it can be a complicated system, BUT if its lyrics first, then it HAS to be simple open piano chords; simplistic hanging/ringing out guitar so it doesnt overshadow the lyrically driven part?
I dunno... I've been spending all my time learning how to make something complex; I really haven't ANY idea how to make something simple, basic... and inherently pretty.
What? SAY the words recorded over and over, see what note keeps popping up naturally most often , thats the "key", right? Open chords with a basic 145 structure to them shouldn't be too bad to do. Try to add as little melody as necessary to keep it going?
*sigh* easier said than done, LMAO
*shrugs* I guess I go and try it... any suggestions? I'm open to any ideas or suggestions here... I am thinking "ballad"
