"choppy" repeat...

I'm using Cubase SL. I created a midi track with only 1 bar. It's a chord and is a whole note sustained thru the bar. I used some analog strings from my sampler and turned on the phaser effect to create a very simple PAD. When I repeat the bar, I get a choppy, abrupt start at each repeat. Any ideas on how to smooth this out?

thanks...

Maybe this helps...

I believe I have discovered the issue. When looping a section of bars created on a midi track, the beginning of the midi part is re-triggered. This plays the initial velocity of the attack and causes the restart of the loop to sound choppy. Do I have to change the loop points in the sampler to overcome this problem or is there a way to send a "no re-trigger" control code to the sampler so that I get only a sustained chord.

thanks for any help....
