Choosing a Soundcard question?!? Help!!

Im still researching home studios centered around a PC and have run into an important question. I've been looking at the Aardvark Q10 because I need to be able to record 8 tracks simultaneously (when recording drums). The card has mic pres and everything. However, I already have an Alesis Studio 32 Mixer and was planning on using that in my setup.

Does anyone know how the Aardvark pre's add up to a normal mixer's pre's like the Studio 32??

And if I rather use my Studio 32 mixer, is the Aardvark Q10 more that I need?? Is there a soundcard out there I can buy that will allow me to record 8 tracks simultaneously, still get the same great quality, but is also cheaper and doesnt have features that I wont need, such as preamps.

Thanks for the insight. Look forward to responses.

the Aardvark pres are better, in my opinion, than the Alesis' preamps......

if you really want to use your Alesis, look into a Delta 1010 or Delta 1010lt...very good quality....very similar in quality to the Q10....it has 8 analog inputs/outputs.......
