huh???
Here's a song from a Childrens' Choir Christmas Musical that I recorded. The choir consists of about 20-25 kids ranging in age from 12-16 with a piano accompaniment.
I miked the choir with a pair of Behringer C2 sdc's in an XY configuration about 4 feet above the director. The soloist was mic'd with an SM58. I'm not sure what the piano was mic'd with.
Everything went through and Allen & Heath GL2200. I used 2 Aux sends to send a stereo signal to a Tascam CC-222 CD recorder. I did some very light editing (eq, light compression, & stereo enhancer) in Cubase Essential 4.
I ran FOH and did the recording. You can hear toward the end of the song where the solo started off a little too low. There wasn't much rehearsal time before the show. The music is not professional by any means, but please try to overlook that and let me know about the levels and overall sound. Any advice and comments are appreciated.
Thanks so much,
