Me, Myself- I guess I’m just kinda lazi. It’s not a garage. 24 hour temperature controlled storage. Got it off in a good neighborhood where the police patrol regular. Got a big ass fence and a code gate. Where I stay fools will come out the plumbing on ya. Tired of getting pulled over at 3am though.

Dope table huh Rat. Plopped that rack in the middle and it was ready. Roll it off the wall to get to the mess of wires.

Hi_d_Ho- I’m still praying I can learn all my stuff. I love that Roland. Got it fully loaded with the cd burner and all. Did two full cd’s on it working on the third and fourth. Tried going over to Sonar XL but couldn't take it. Computer recording is a ball breaker to me after using a VS.

Yeah man..... I got my monitors(speakers) on the area where you have the tapes and misc stuff I see you have foam speaker rests where did ya get those from and how much kid?

I had my monitors sitting on those shelves to. What you see are Fellows heavy-duty computer monitor stands. I got em at an Office Depot sale for 15 bucks a piece. I knew I would need that space for the MPC and the laptop so those joints worked out great. Even got a dope tilt on em.

A few q's.......

1)how does the room sound when monitoring on your speakers?
2)what size is your room?
3)do you pad the walls with blankets or anything to cover up that metal?
4)how'd you build that iso room....dimensions?


I'm just wondering because I think that's a smart idea to setup in a storage unit and I'm thinkin' about bitin' your idea,feel me!?

1) Room sounds really sounds like crap when compared to most rooms with drywall and the dead airspace the studs makes. It sounds good to most people but cats that are into studios know the deal. I'm just used to it now. But i know i gotta do better.

2) Size is 10X25. It's deep as hell and just wide enough for the setup, some foot room and a bar behind me (cats can still walk through). I got a couch right beside that setup which goes alll the way to the door. On the otherside i got the busted ass bar and another couch.

3)I thought about the padding but i was to lazi for that. I might arockband that had soe blankets on the wall. They did a little somethin for the sound but not enough for me to go and do it. I did have to cover the wall behind the setup cuz the wall will ground out and short out whatever is connected to any wires that touch it. I lost a cheap little studio computer and two channels on my VS like that.

4) I got a crackhead handyman to build the booth. We just had to buy him beer and sandwhiches and pay for the materials. We'd just drink all the beer and be like "We going to get some more beer we'll be right back". Leave him up in there working on the booth and we'd be out kicking it. Get back late and run him to the crib. We had it downin a week like that. Otherwise he'd still be eating and drinking off us. He built that thing so sturdy it's crazy. Still got dudes ladder on top of the booth. I'ma hate trying to tear that damn thing down. Next time im'a buy a prefab.

I got cameras hidden out in the hall so i'll know who is trying to creep.

Peep the updated pic. TV for camcorder,security cams, and vcr. Got em swithing by remote.

The storage thing is tight. Only things no fridge and no restrooms but i stay 5 minutes away. Other cats gotta go to the Shell or BP.. HA.
