Thanks so much for checking it out, what a great reponce. Its very encouraging to know I`m getting better and this mic was a good buy. Thanks.

erichenryus. Wow, what a thing to say mate. You know the new mic picks up everything. For an hour I thought I had something wrong it just turns out that was excatly how I sound. Dam the mic is too good! Viva America, one day.

zbert. Cheers. The voice is a wee bit shaky at times.

WATYF. Weesht (new word for you), you inspired me to get a condesor amte. So cheers. Its tricky to handle though.

jake-owa. Thats great! I think its me that sounds crispy in the Chorus.

mixmkr. really. Thats a real compliment coming from you. So thanks. I just kindof hang the mic off the bed. You can hear everything with this thing, its a good learning experience. There are a couple of thumps of people downstairs which is really funny because you cant stop this mic! Still learning.

ap. Again, an amazing and most enouraging thing to say. Drives me farward mate so thanks a lot.

Jagular. Lol. Cheers mate, no complex just nail a song, start to finish really quickly. I bet it sounds ace! why helloo to your wife.

A1A2. I hear you man. Cheers. I think I should step off the mic too. I dont have a way of changing the eq after its recorded. i think thats what you mean by cutting the lows. Thanks for the encouragment.

Actually, no. I think I only would have been happy if your pic had shown you to be a wart-ladened elephant boy. There should be some horrible price to pay for a voice like that.

damn! I love your stuff anyway, but the new condenser sure adds a whole new dimension to both voice and guitar. Great stuff.

Erland, I love this song. I simply LOVE it... god You cease to amaze me and your peers here on the board... I wish I could be there to welcome you to the lable when you get signed... but alas I'm bound to the confines of school until some studio gets suckered into hiring me... hehe I'll be a fan from day one... and GOD I hope you take it all the way. you have a completely marketable voice. you could seriously go the whole way.. just take it there.

Good work, Erland. As usual. :)

The new mic is a *big* improvement - it's a much more "open" sound, and really suits your voice. Nice guitar sound too, although it defintely needs a wee bit of low cut.

I like the "fragile" sound when you go for the high note - suits the song.

The harmony at 0:33 is nice; the one at 0:40 is really good.

And it's pretty catchy.

Here comes the constructive criticism:

This song doesn't really grab me. :(

It's another great vocal, and the guitar playing is fine. And I think it's the best *recording* I've heard of yours. But the song itself, just doesn't do it for me.

It sounds like it could be a song for a boy band (preferably one with folk who can sing!) but I think it's far from your best. Pretty commercial, though.

There, I said it! If you'd rather I haud my wheesht, let me know. (There you go, WATYF, people really do talk that way ;) )

Or you could tell her to haud *her* wheesht.

You can't haud somebody else's wheesht.

Nice pretty tune. Well played and sung (of course). :D I didn't get the impression you were at the top of your vocal range. You must have hid it well. :D:D

How about harmonies over the hook line in the chorus? Just a thought. I heard something bump at about 1:35.

Not exactly. :)

You'd said something to the effect that Erland's stuff is very good and makes you question the quality/worth of your own stuff (I know *that* feeling :( ).

Erland was basically saying it was the other way round - that your stuff inspired *him* to get a condenser mic.

So the "wheesht" was more "Oh, go on, don't be silly, you're really good". I think. I may be losing it at this point. ;)

Erland, what did you mean when you said wheesht to WATYF?
