ok i need some advice on how i should best spend 500 bucks on my setup, id most like some better options for recording vocals.

and this is a list of the gear i used.

some yamaha mic running into a dj battle mixer, which runs into my soundblaster live sound card, which i send straight to cep. the mic also has a sock over it......thats about it peace

hey i like the music.. i was surprised at hte vocal quality from using a sound blaster

the rest try to fit the remaining money for mixer, studio monitor, and mic..

well, what i have is
soundcard: M-Audio Audiophile
mixer: Behringer eurorack (8 channel)
mix: nady system scm1000
monitor: $100 sony monitor
headphone: $100 akg headphone, forgot the model..

.. that should fit your budget including shipping :)
 
ha, outkast beat. haha.

dmp3 preamp, m-audio audiophile, nice vocal mic (condensor).

whatever you got left, spend on a sample cd, and make some tite beats.
