Interesting starting.

Haunting song.

It needs a melody line, maybe a guitar or something.

Cool though. Love the disonant piano parts.

Levels sound fine to me.

dang i like it alot spacedye, sounds like somthing youd hear on a friday the 13th movie or somthing, very cool stuff,dang what kind of synth are you using it kicks ass. very clean mix. i gotta hear this when it is done. you should put like a awesome guitar lead over this somthing with like a tubey sounding smooth distortion and a little delay. i would let the guitar be my vocal for this one. let me know when its done and anytime you wanna do a collab im ready for ya i just picked up a shure sm 57 so as i can get to the vocals a little bit, im not much of a singer though. ive been told i sound a little like don dokken somtimes. nice song thanks for sharing tim pate.

EMERIC --thanks for the listen. vocal lines have always been my problem. thats probly why i usually use WAV samples in my tunes.LOL!!! i can never seem to come up with anything that sounds decent enough to keep in my opinion. i wanted it to sound a bit scary. i think thats what i want to do, write and record soundtracks for movies. but anyway, then by accident, somewhere in the middle, this spanish sounding thing started happening and i just went with it.
how do you think that works out in there? the change into it was just a bit awkward i think, but it was a pisser recording it. i had alot of fun. i think all recording sessions should be this fun!!!

FLASH- im still using my old ENSONIQ SQ-1. all the sounds are from that. except for the drums. drums are from my
BOSS DR770 i think the mix is clean cuz ive got everything plugged into my MACKIE 1604vlz.
- either that, or i got extremely lucky this time :p
 
Too much 'verb on the drums. I can't believe I'm saying that.......I always love verb....but these drums are just too wet. The song ideas sound promising but it sounds like your not finished with it, it's more like you're trying out ideas. I want to hear it when it's finished.
 
hmmmm. Lt.bob, are you speaking of a particular section of drums in the song?
because everything was recorded dry and those are the actual sounds from the DR770 and the SQ-1. i swear my hands have not touched any reverbs/delays etc. maybe the settings within the units are wet to begin with? but that may be why i chose those sounds. i only use the reverse audio commands within sonar and double tones at different levels within the song.
i appreciate your comments, but im not sure where you are referring to in the song. could ya tell me please? :confused:

i just noticed something. i just went to my site and noticed something. did you give the right song a listen? Sola is the title. maybe you gave 10 minutes old a listen? because those drums-pheeewwww like your in a auditorium. let me know.
 
Cool intro, many textures starting to unfold... everything nicely balanced... I'm digging this melody. Nice tempo change around 2:35. Levels sound good. I can hear that it's unfinished... are you going to add a melody instrument, vocals, etc?
Will be interesting to see what you have in mind.
 
Yep....................I listened to the wrong song....sorry.
Sola.....ahhhh ....I like the intro a lot.........neat drum groove.......ok......not too much happening here............now it's back....................(needs something added to that part with just the kybrd chords)...................picks up tempo....wow this was unexpected...kinda latiny........you do good percussion..............I like it but it's obviously unfinished....get in your room and don't come out 'till this is a finished masterpiece!
What you have so far is very nice! :cool:
