no you weren't

Boy, you guys are a real nice and inviting group.

"We just got everything done and are real proud of it. For gear geekery, here's what I used on the album:

les paul standard
sg standard

orange ad-140tc
orange 4x12 w/ v-30's and g12h30's
vox ac-30 handwired
marshall jcm 800

roland re-201 space echo
mutron phaser
moogerfooger Murf
keeley compressor
keeley sd-1
green russian big muff"

Explain to me how that is not talking about gear?

Not really my style of music, but it sounds like stuff that my wife would like. Nice sound, sounds radio worthy.

Ok...let see if I can say it nicely and without hurting your feelings. I think what the other guys were trying to say was that to get the most positive response, it might have been more appropriate to post the listening request into the MP3 Mixing Clinic. I mean, you're wanting to get some listeners right?

Ok...so I did listen to your stuff. It turned quite nicely. Nice playing. Your gear selection looks pretty nice as well.

Since this is a gear forum, I would like to ask about one of your guitars. The SG...is it Gibson or Epi. I tried one out a while back, actually bought it...took it home played it for a day or two and took it back. Had some personal issues with the geometry of the guitar...the neck felt very long and the 12th fret seemed like it was in the wrong place...just felt weird to hold. I figured I would get used to it but the deal breaker was that the neck or the joint (not sure which) was so flexible, the slightest pressure would pull the entire guitar out of tune. I tend to play with a heavier fretting hand and with these things balanced a little heavy in the neck, seemed to make things a little more awkward.

N E ways...just wondering about your experience with the SG and how well do you transition from it to the LP and back?

Well, I didn't know there was such a forum or what it was for. I only frequent this and maybe a couple of other forums on this site and decided to post here as it is the one I've posted in most frequently.

Ok, so, about the Sg. I have a Gibson. It's a fairly nice guitar, IMHO. It does not have the girth or balls of the les paul, but it is warmer and has a nicer clean tone. As far as tuning problems, I don't have any, though I could see having some with a 61' reissue (thinner neck) or epiphone copy (not as well made).

As far as moving from the sg to the les paul; it's a bit of a disappointment in the distortion department, as you have less of everything (bass mids and highs), but it is smoother in the clean department. I also notice I have less gain and volume, so adjustments are sometimes necessary. This doesn't mean it has a worse distortion sound as it is a bit punchier and warmer with gain due to less output, but it just doesn't have that les paul crunch.

Alright, I apologize for being rude. I threw this thread off as a promo thread, which belongs in the "marketing your music / publicity" forum. Which, at first, it was. Luckily you saved it by replying with the previous post.

Anyway....

I've always wanted a MuRF, how do you like it? What song(s) did you use it on? I don't think I've ever heard it in use. Your site is really slick, btw. I like the music, too. It's not often you hear good female vocals in that style. Well, props for the new album, peace!

Actually I think I've read this guys thread in 3 differant forums..

Buy my muffins dammit! there so tasty

I prefer scones...do you have scones? Oh...and a triple grande non-fat latte at 140 degrees please :D

It's used on "These Adult Bones" and some other tracks that aren't on the site. It's the arpeggiated sounding part on the chorus.

Sorry, man. I wasn't so sure where I was supposed to go. There are a lot of threads on here I don't frequent.

OOH! I want the chocolate muffin! Before someone else takes it, because there's only one.
