Have these guys never heard of DC blocking caps :confused: Or digital filters to eliminate DC offset :confused: :confused:

nope... they tested that on the "Mythbusters" TV show... check it out... http://www.meyersound.com.au/brownnote.shtm

it was strange because the guy who was placed in the middle of the speakers felt only vibrations, however the people standing 40 ft away all experienced some form of confusion, dizziness, and nausea.. but still no brown note.
 
Awwww. I've spent at least part of my musical life in pursuit of the brown note and now it goes the way of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.

I saw that one, it was awesome!
 
oh wait, I did see that one. Isnt that where they put a wall of speakers on either side of him, and played continuous sine waves. Yep, I saw that one

Hmm, wonder if they know much about acoustics. They easily could have had wave cancellation at his position, which explains why the far-away people were more effected.

Cool show though, I saw it once where they blew up a portable toilet with methane :eek:
 
Those things are really cool!

I bought 1 of those powerful sub-woofers 2 weeks ago from "Manny's Air-Conditioner & Washing Machine Repair Shop"!
