we don't need rest!!
I just bought a Yamaha mixer...probably about 5 years old or so in "like new" condition. It is a MX12/4 model with 8 mic pres and a half decent digital reverb built in... nothing really fancy....and the typical stereo input channels, returns, etc. Very similar to the MG series now out, but with more mic pres.
How does this little mixer compare to the newer MG series mixers?
I basically got this thing for next to nothing, and therefore couldn't pass it up. I can always use a little mixer for something, be it a headphone mixer, remote mini PA, keyboard submixer..whatever.
Since I have never heard or used the current Yamaha little mixers, but have read fairly decent reviews on them for being "useable", I was wondering if this was a similar predecessor. It seems pretty nice to me. Not super quiet or anything, but useable for a quick and easy mini mixer. Somtheing I can pitch in the car and tote it around easily.
