After recording some acoustic festerday, and having to crank the shit out of my pre gain (and getting some nice noizy pre sound for free......hmm) i decided that i have to finally break down and get a better pre.....now. Since i cant aford the focusrite trackmaster right now(my #1 choice ,currently), my second choice is the vtb-1. (dmp-3 choice #3)
