Cheap Recording Solution

Cheap Condenser Mics

Hi all,

I'm just looking for a cost effective method for recording simple practices and rehearsals.

Any suggestions on a cheap condenser mic that isn't too bad?

For a cheap recording solution, I'm thinking of the Tascam MF-P01.

The recordings don't need to be that great, not demo material or anything. We just want to have playback on rehearsals so we can hear what songs or passages could use some work.

Thanks for any advice or input. :)

any large diaphragm condenser will do. go for the cheapest.
if you can get a cheap one with omni pattern, that's a plus.
on the other hand, i've recorded rehearsals with a pair of marshall mxl 603s (small diaphragm - duh!), and it didn't sound too bad. that means you could get similar or better results with a pair of (or a single) behringer ecm8000, which runs for a mere $36, and it's omni.
