Cheap pedalboard case

I built my own pedalboard a while back, and I carry it around in a padded duffelbag with wheels. It does the trick, but its much bulkier than I need. I am looking for a cheap ($50 or less) option for a hard case for it. I have looked around at the local thrift stores, but all I see are bulky suitcases. My pedalboard is about the size of a pedaltrain pt-2, if that helps.

I don't need a flight case, as I only play locally. Any suggestions?

I am looking at either getting the PDC-410G or PDC-4100G for my pedals. Anyone know if the 4100G is significantly more sturdy to go for it over the cheaper one?

You can usually find Samsonite suitcases at places like Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores. That might work for a pedalboard. They're usually around $5.

I've been using them for years for computers, wires and other gear.

Very few cases specifically made for musical instruments are as good as Samsonites. A lot of research and development there. New they cost a fortune and you can buy parts for them if they break.
