Cheap Mixer suggestion

just some acoustic stuff and some Iron maiden.

Lol, that's quite a spectrum you've got going there. But anyways, yeh, I'd suggest you go with the 8 input interface route and then a few ES57's and ES58's to start off with. The mics I mentioned are about $30 apiece. So you can get 3 57's and 2 58's for $150. That seems to be the best place to start.
