Somebody listens to Steve Vai !!!
As with all the tracks you've posted.... LOVE IT !! I suck at singing so I always try to write instrumentals, but never can complete an entire piece !! Always bits and pieces... that never seem to want to be strung together !! There's such an art to that Vai / Satriani style... Congratulations on a great piece !! Recording is really good as well !!

I agree i would love to work with a great singer more often. It would make it so much more interesting.

Fitting everything together is a thing indeed
I mostly just play and when i find something nice I'll record it, figure out tempo and play it again with a click somehow after that it just mostly flows.

The melodies are a lot harder. I don't just want to solo but give the melodies more a singing character (yes i absorb everything that Vai tells during interviews )

Working alone is really limiting but we have to if there is no other option.

Opening riff was inspired by the whitesnake Vai/Vandenberg period indeed
