I'm recording someone who has wrote a song for a child that passed away. I'd like to make sure the mix is great as it may be a important song to some people. Any input is appreciated

To me, it sounds like the vocal is a little too loud in some parts. Especially mid frequencies seem to be problematic,... I would play around with the multiband compression a little more.
Anyway, I am just learning so tell me if I am wrong

When the vocals are in the lower notes there's a slight loss of the words, and there's a bit of sibilance. Minor points really - the recording is very good overall. It really soars in the upper vocal range.

No I think you made a good point, I'll pull down the mids just a tad
