I'm getting a Delta 1010LT for christmas (only been waiting for a decent soundcard for like 2 years now...) and have been screwing around with junky sounding recordings with my onboard soundcard. I was just playing around and had a bass plugged directly into the line in on channel 6 on my board. Now my board is an old Audiopro (as I go on about in every post I make) from the 80s, so age might be a factor here. But it was quiet as hell...then I tried channel 7, and it was nice and loud. I even did a comparison. I'm assuming it's old age maybe, I mean, the pots and faders crackle time to time (need a good cleaning). This board has been from Texas to PEI to in Canada in it's lifetime and been owned by at least 2 other people and a few years ago was probably stored for a while.

So is the channel volune differences just a matter of it's a need cleaning (if so...how?) or what? Any suggestions welcome!

If you're getting the 1010LT for christmas, why are you even screwing with the AudioPro? You're just asking for a headache...

Because being a drummer I need a bunch of tracks, and it's simply more convienent.

Beats me, my best guess is that it was made sometime in the 80s. Yorkville used to make them then. They still make newer ones from what I've seen, but they look nothing like the older ones. This one is a huge mofo with much bigger knobs and a flight case. I had to e-mail Yorkville in order to find a PDF form manual for it. It's an "AUDIOPRO 16-S".
