I have this song recorded using sonar 1.3.1 after the song was completed, I wanted to add more treble to one of the guitars. Do I have to re-record the whole guitar session again? I must be missing something here. Thanks....

I assume you record more than one guitar, right?
Did you record those guitars, each in their own track (separate track)? If so, then you can always put an EQ in the track's insert effect field, and tweak the EQ as you need. But if you happened record all guitars into one track simultaneously (which means more than one guitar player played those guitars in the same time into one track), then you might need to re-record the guitars track again. Make sure this time you record them, each into their own track...

Yes, the guitars are on seperate tracks and that's what I want to do. I have been tring to use the eq but, when you go to audition you only hear the one track. I want to hear them all. Thanks Jaymz.
Now I'll have to find out how to put an EQ in the track's insert effect field. Shouldn't be to hard. Thanks again....

Well, I tried it and it's still the same thing. You can only audition the track. I was hoping it would be like real time eq'ing, when the whole song was playing. Am I still doing something wrong?

Does that mean that now that you have eq's inserted in the track effect bins, the song won't play without dropping out?

It sounds as if you are trying to use the eq effect destructively, rather than in realtime.

In Track View click the tab at the bottom labeled FX. Then go the track you want to eq and find the box labeled Fx. Right click on that box and from the popup menu select Audio Effects and then Cakewalk and then FxEq (assuming that is the eq plugin you want to use - otherwise select whatever plugin you plan to use).

Once the plugin window opens up, click the Transport Play button and tweak away to your heart's content.

dachay2tnr, thanks man. I can't believe as long as I've had this program, I didn't know you could do that. I never liked to read much, maybe I should read the manual better though. I like read the forums though.
:D
It even shows up now in the console view. I should have known this. :o
