Changed soundcard, problem with Audition

Hey. I just changed my soundcard from a SB Live! 5.1 to a SB Audigy, and all of a sudden I have this strange problem with Adobe Audition 1.5. When I record something and then play it, it is slightly out of rhythm. For instance, I record some kind of percussion with my mic, all in perfect sync, and when I stop recording and press play, the newly recorded track comes in a bit later than it should, and it's out of rhythm in the mix.

Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

I think most SoundBlaster cards are locked in at a sample rate of 48K. So try recording at 48K sample rate and see if that works.

Also, open the preferences (Options -> Settings...)

Then go to the Multitrack tab and select:

o Correct for drift in recordings
o Correct for start sync in recordings

Close Audition and restart it and see if that works. (it will only work on new tracks that you record).

Thank you. I *think* that probably did the trick. However, I'm still experiencing some other problems, mainly related to constant clipping now. It happens when I record things with my mic and even with streaming audio. I don't know what it could be. This damn soundcard is driving me crazy!
