Hello,
I need some new PA speakers and I found these used from looks like the late 70's/80's. Does anyone know if these are any good or what I should pay for them? I know Cerwin Vega stuff is generally nice, but i don't know if that is the case from this time period.

Thanks a lot,
T

I find Cewin Vegas to be big, inefficient, and generally they lack punch. they seem like more of a Hi-Fi -ish DJ speaker to me

honestly, if you're looking for something on a tight budget, get the Behringer Eurolive boxes....efficient, small, and their power rating is very conservative. oh yeah, and they sound good.

or for a little more money, the new cheap JBL line sounds great. not like an EAW line array or anything, but both are so much better than you could expect from inexpensive speakers even 5 years ago.

Thanks for the reply,
I tried the Cerwin Vegas and they sucked. Even the new Cerwin Vegas are no good? I heard the cheap JBL line is crap, and to trust Behringer?

I heard the cheap JBL's, they sounded good.

In the past JBL has gotten a reputation for making great transducers, but poor cabinets.
