central station vs. hear tech 600mv

has any one had any experience with the hear tech? i've read lots of good stuff about the central station and is defiantely something i'm interested in, but the hear tech looks nice also and is a little easier on the check book. thanks!
 
I have a Central Station and feel that it's excellent for a home studio. People claim that is is transparent - I can only take their word for it. I think it sounds clearer than the Presonus HP4 that I used to monitor through, although the HP4 is a nice budget unit that can also power passive speakers.
 
If you really want neutral/transparent, I'd suggest you NOT go for the one that's easier on the wallet/checkbook. These things cost money for a reason.

That being said, I've never heard the knockoff unit you're thinking about but I can tell you the Central Station is quite nice and very reasonably priced.
