I'm just wondering if, as a Celeron user, what I'm missing out on is actual or theoretical.
It's not theoretical. It becomes very real once you have tried both. ;)

I'm running a Athlon 1.6 GHz. I want a new processor. And that's gonna be a Pentium 4. :)

I've done very well so far with a meager 766 mhz Celeron for my programs - Acid, CEP and FL Studio.
I'm waiting for a 2.1 ghz Athlon to go with my new Sonar 3.0...I only went with the Athlon because it happened to come with the insane deal I got on the PC. Sonar 3.0 is the first app to give me a problem with the 755 mhz Celeron.
I'm sure a 1.5 ghz or better Celeron will work just fine for anything you throw at it within reason:-)

Yes it would. It's just that a 1.5 GHz Pentium or Athlon would do it so much better... ;)

Guys, we are not saying that you can't work with Celeron. We're saying that working with Athlon or Pentium is MUCH better than with Celeron. Period. If you still don't believe it, you should send an e-mail to Intel asking which of their processors is better. ;)
